VCAD Launches

Have you ever wondered what your career may look like after getting a diploma from the Visual College of Art and Design?

VCAD has partnered with some of the art and design industry’s most reputable employers to help shed light on possible career paths for our graduates and potential students. In the past two months, our team has invited Paul Cordick, Senior Project Manager at Unity, Candice Logan, Senior Interior Designer at Hager Design International, and Derek Peristy, Senior Animator (motion capture) at Electronic Arts to show aspiring artists what they, as employers, are looking for in job candidates. 

Event guests were encouraged to ask questions about making their portfolio stand out, enhancing their skills to get a competitive advantage, and emerging industry trends. 

We've lined up more speakers for the series. VCAD intends to cover each discipline taught at the college, which includes 3D Modeling Animation Art and Design, Architecture Design and Technology, Fashion Design, Game Development and Design, Graphic Design, and Interior Design.

We will soon have Marvin DeJong, Architect at Dda Architecture Ltd., and Susan Landon, Executive Director at Toronto Fashion Incubator, as guests.
