Field Trip: Banbury Lane
Our Interior Design students recently got a chance to go on a field trip to Banbury Lane Design Centre for their Residential Design course. It was an impressive collection and the students were amazed at the diversity of products offered.

Graphic Design: Program Advisory Committee
We hosted our first ever program advisory committee (PAC) for VCAD Calgary. The Graphic Design PAC met on campus to discuss the program and opportunities for a Bachelor of Design degree (in the works). We apologize as a few members did have to leave early before we took the group photo. We’ll get everyone in next time, promise.
We're excited to get the other PACs up and running in the next 1-2 months for each program.

Spirit Day
Last week our Student Association kicked up the school spirit with students by hosting their first Spirit Day event. This month’s event included the students getting creative over lunch by making a school banner for upcoming events.

Calgary Home Renovation Show
Recently our Interior Design students spent an afternoon at the Calgary Home Renovation Show, meeting designers, suppliers, guest speakers, etc. Well done to Kinga and Isabella. The organizers liked us so much they have already sent Isabella more tickets for the upcoming Calgary Home and Garden Show at the end of February for our ID students.

Jobs Calgary Career Fair
Last week the new admissions team headed to the Radisson for their first career fair. It was a very busy afternoon and great opportunity for VCAD to meet with the community.

Lantern Festival
February 08, 2020Celebrate Chinese New Year at VCAD's Lantern Festival! Feb 5-8 students/staff are invited to create a unique lantern to display at school! Drop off @ reception!
There will be prizes for Most Creative, Most Authentic, and Most Unique! -
Paint Night
February 12, 2020Muditha Askin (3DMAAD) will be hosting a Paint Night here on campus.

Mid-Quarter Orientation
February 14, 2020Mid-Quarter Orientation will take place Friday, February 14th, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. New students, please try to arrive approximately 30 minutes early to check in and have your ID card photos taken!

February 18, 2020Get to know your new classmates over the lunch break (12:30pm - 1:00pm) in the Student Lunch Room over some delicious, cheesy pizza!

Pink Shirt Day
February 26, 2020LIFT EACH OTHER UP on Pink Shirt Day, Wed. Feb. 26! Purchase a pink T-shirt* and support anti-bullying initiatives at VCAD. All proceeds go to the CKNW Kids' Fund.
