The inspiration behind the Arcteryx_Seoul is the wing structure of the teradactyl. In this unique open design space, the interior walls follow the wing-shaped ceiling panels to show the abstract shape of the opened wings. The main design features and the cash register is located in the center of the store and viewable from the entry to create urban open space with minimal structures. Each display area is separated by the use and the season for the outdoor as well as indoor apparel. The semi-enclosed changing area is combined with the waiting area to provide comfort and relaxation. The lighting in this semi-private area is soft and decorative showing differentiation from the other areas of the store to delineate a comfortable retreat zone. The feature beam light accents are placed within the ceiling panels, integrated, to accentuate the abstract shapes of the wing concept reference overhead.
