This project is an existing plan that the clients picked. The clients wanted to create and sustainable retreat that they could enjoy with family and friends over the weekends but also to create a place where they could eventually retire to and live fulltime. The clients are very environmentally conscious and want to reduce their carbon footprint using various strategies including water reclamation, food and energy production.

This project was meant to push the boundaries of both design, function and modelling. The goal was to create an iconic structure that that would be globally recognizable with the meaningful purpose of healing, educating, and bringing the community together.

Prominent location in Calgary's downtown westside that has been re-zoned to accommodate for a commercial mix-use development. This location is the current VCAD campus in Calgary and offered an opportunity to not only add residential units, but also reorganize the VCAD campus.
