It is a 2-story house designed to be a weekend house or Airbnb. The location of the house enhances the good views of downtown Vancouver towards the south and views of the mountains in the north. The site of this project supports a human-powered lifestyle, energy, and carbon reduction; The entire house is powered by solar energy. Materials used for construction are environmentally friendly: cast-in-place concrete, natural stone, rammed earth, wood, and glass. Rainwater collection will also be one of the sustainability strategies.

Location: NW, Calgary, AB, Canada I designed this modern farmhouse for a family of 6. The clients wanted the house to have as many windows as possible to allow natural light in the interior. Eco-friendly and breathable materials will be used for construction as per the client's request.

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada This mid-rise building houses offices, a restaurant, and a rooftop for public space. I specifically designed the mid-rise to fit the public space request by establishing balconies/outdoor spaces on each floor as a solution since the floor area was limited. The name Perron ( exterior set of steps) was inspired by the form of the building.

The buildings around the site location are old and out-to-date, which makes the atmosphere of the area feel suffocating yet empty and exhausting especially due to the busy traffic on 8 street and 4 avenue. There is a lot of noise from the traffic, a lot of apartment buildings, and a lack of public spaces aside from Eau Claire Park across the Bow River towards the Northeast of the site and few restaurants. The purpose of this Recreation Centre is to be inviting, and more appealing to the people in the vicinity and the communities around Calgary. Since Eau Claire has a diverse community, the building will be designed to promote inclusivity. It will house different recreational activities for people of all ages, races, and cultures such as Gymnastics, Aquatics, fitness studios, a library, kid’s space, public spaces, senior programs, etc. Building this Community Recreation Center, will increase socialization, and promote creativities and innovations in the community.
