Kilig Candle Co is a Vancouver-based candle company specializing in eco-friendly soy candles. They are currently based online, but have many stockists across Vancouver, B.C. The small company was born out of the founder’s love for candles. As Kilig Candle Co is a brand that sells eco-friendly soy candles, this project was aimed to give the company a redesign to be more accurate to the products they offer. With the company’s policy of all their products being hand-made and eco-friendly, it would only make sense for the design of their logo, stationery, and ads to send the same message.

Starship Entertainment is a South Korean entertainment company established in 2008 and a subsidiary of Kakao M under its Music Content Company division. The label has been recognized for their contributions to the Hallyu Wave, being home to several prominent K-pop groups and soloists. Since the company was founded in 2008, they never went through a rebranding. This project was made to give Starship Entertainment a more modern look to the company. As the company focuses on K-Pop, they should be up to date with every current trend. That includes music, fashion, and even how the company looks from an outsider’s perspective. Just like how those aspects can affect the view of the company, the redesign will also affect the perspective of outsiders, especially potential trainees.

Macbeth is a tragedy by William Shakespeare; it is thought to have been first performed in 1606. It dramatises the damaging physical and psychological effects of political ambition on those who seek power for its own sake. Just like how Macbeth is centered around the topics of power and politics, these posters were illustrated to reflect the things included in the story. The colour red is used frequently with the two posters, as it represents the blood and horrors of Macbeth’s crimes and the overall topic of the story.
