The architectural concept for this building draws inspiration from the natural beauty of Vancouver’s landscape, specifically the majestic mountains that surround the city. To reflect this, the design incorporates green spaces at both the ground level and above, creating an environment that seamlessly connects with the surrounding nature. The building is envisioned as a hub for community and collaboration, providing a space for people to come together and share ideas. After a year and a half of remote work and social distancing, it is essential to foster human connection and encourage creativity in a physical space. The design facilitates this by incorporating interlocking shapes and physical bridges that converge to form a unified whole. The building aims to be a dynamic space that inspires creativity and encourages collaboration, while also connecting with and enhancing the natural beauty of Vancouver. This project showcases a passive house design incorporating innovative sustainable elements like Larsen truss wall systems, triple pane windows, solar panels, geothermal heating, and passive solar design. The home promotes natural light and airflow while offering an energy-efficient and healthy living environment. This redevelopment project draws inspiration from Vancouver’s abundant rainfall, with a focus on the waterfall concept. The main shapes and colours of the building will reflect the surrounding natural environment, resulting in an eye-catching and trendy design. Divided into four sections, the building caters to various needs, including commercial spaces for retail, restaurants, and gyms, areas for cultural expression such as an art gallery and museum, residential living spaces, and lush green spaces.
