This Kerrisdale property in West Vancouver needed an update to a step 5 net-zero home. It was accomplished through the airtight drywall approach on new and old partitions, replacing all windows with high-performance windows, and the use of eco-friendly and sustainable materials such as bamboo.

A furniture design firm has a two-level office space they wish to have designed. The firm values its employees and wishes to create spaces that uplift and inspire their team and include as much natural light as possible. Inmood design has several award-winning pieces of furniture they would like to display to the public, so we should include a space to showcase their best work from outside looking into the building.

CLIENT PROFILE: Chef Thibodeaux Benoit runs a successful restaurant in New Westminster and is ready to start something bigger. His idea is to have something more upscale with full-service dining and a bar. Since he is from Louisiana, he’d like to create a Cajun menu inspired by food from the Warehouse District in New Orleans. One of his best dishes: Is blackened Catfish, hence the name he chose for this concept. Thibodeaux loves using classical American interiors and has picked American Federal for its delicate detailing, niches, curved spaces, round furniture, and classic pillars. This style reminds him of old Louisiana.

What is TRIPP NYC: an American clothing brand by designer Daang Goodman known famously throughout the alt/goth community for its bondage pants but has a wide variety of other clothing and accessories for all genders. As a retailer of dark street fashion, TRIPP NYC doesn't have a stand-alone store and relies on other retailers to carry the brand. I saw that as an opportunity to have a fun challenge.
