Many Calgary dog owners combine coffee drinking and dog walking in their daily routine. Lining up at the local coffee shop en route to the off-leash park means dogs are left waiting in their vehicles. Coffee Waggin’ is a new coffee truck company that makes it easy and pet friendly to combine the two rituals. It needs strong branding to promote the business amongst a competitive coffee company market. The branding targets dog owners by depicting a variety of dogs and their loving, playful nature. The branding also includes an app design that facilitates quick easy pre-orders and rewards frequent users.

Terrarium Display is an elegant display font inspired by nature. It borrows from elements of plants, particularly the stems and leaves. It is best used for headlines, short to medium-length text, and logos. The high contrast between thicks and thins and the relatively tall and narrow characters give it an elegant appearance. The proportions are similar to other modern fonts such as Didot. Alternate versions of some of the characters give the user flexibility. Overall, Terrarium Display is suitable for brands that want to convey elegance, luxury, and femininity.

The challenge was to create branding that would distinguish The Beehive from its competitors, which was accomplished by creating a mascot that references bees without using the bee in the logo. It was also important to highlight The Beehive's strengths by providing transparency about their sustainable practices. To achieve this, the website was created to give consumers easy access to such information so they can feel confident about making a purchase from The Beehive. Furthermore, an opportunity was identified to expand its offering by providing activities and events that allow people to connect with a likeminded-community. For this purpose, The Beehive app was developed.
