As a Calgarian I wanted to design a downtown mid rise that could serve for many different uses and improve the well being of the people that it hosts. Most importantly I wanted an attractive and unique building that would stand out. My 6 story building consists of 2 residential levels 2 office levels, a food court level, and a retail level that includes a restaurant. I incorporated triple plane glazing, green roof systems, and solar cladding. The concrete for the residential levels is recycled concrete. The brick used was clay brick that can be sourced locally. I believe it is important that the interior spaces include natural light and greenery to enhance the overall experience of the building

I wanted to design a unique residential building that gives the residents their own personal areas. The building will be a mixed use with lots of space and focus on wellbeing. My target will be young and new families to downtown Calgary The goal will be to create a sense of community and give people a feeling of belonging. Public amenities will help maximize user experience. And draw people into the spaces making them feel welcome. I aim to bring a diversity of shops and ethnic businesses to my mixed-use building to help new citizens and grow new companies. I hope to bring together families of all backgrounds to create a welcoming and diverse community. I wanted a unique and futuristic building that stands out and creates a great experience for everyone.
