Casa Dolce is a small gelato shop located in the heart of Port Moody BC. They have have been in business for 20 years and it is time for a refresh on their brand. The typeface for this brand is very dated and the logo is of a baby on a spoon. Casa Dolce does not have a website or a mission statement. The goal is to create an updated yet still fun re-brand. They would like to have a fun logo that will draw attention to the storfront and is modern yet will still be relevant in the years to come. They would like something with bright colours and a logo that would appeal to children and the family community atmosphere. The inspiration was drawn from vintage Italian fabrics and the lines and patterns in the gelato buckets. Stationary, Advertisements and website were all deliverables for this brand.

Eden Seed Co. offers sustainably sourced heirloom seeds. The focus is on ready to use seed mixes. The mixes would be seasonal and easy to use and would co-ordinate with the artistic packaging. all packaging was created for the brand as well as full brand identity and magazine covers for potential publication releases as their business expands. The project and branding is heavily influenced by a hand drawn pattern that was digitally altered to be more suitable for print. The logo is comprised of the sun and the moon this is meant to represent divine feminine and masculine energy and how it is reflected in gardening. Male energy represented by the sun and the action of working ( sowing) and the Moon which represents female nurturing part of gardening. Pattern made by drawing a floral motif and then cutting the square paper in half. After this the paper is rotated and taped together. More is filled in and then the process is repeated 3 more times. resulting in a pattern that can be tiled. This can be done in illustrator however doing it by hand created a more organic outcome. Programs Used: Illustrator: die lines and vector graphics & logo. Dimensions: rendering done in Photoshop

Somervell Lofts is a historical building with a modern twist. It is important that the original architecture is preserved throughout the changes being made. Because of this care and attention to detail, it is fitting to lean into the history of the building. The logo is based off of the stonework seen throughout the building as well as the ironwork. The logo features a Dogwood flower which is the Provincial Flower of BC. The client wants a brand that is sophisticated and traditional but will still appeal to the younger crowd. The typeface is bold and masculine yet traditional. The refreshing logo drives a clear brand message and appeals to the target audience in the area based off of demographics. This includes traditional typefaces, clean lines and inspiration from architecture.
