Design Studio I - Single Dwelling

Here is my first Studio project. We were learning the basic of single family dwelling alongside with our very first course of digital drafting.

Planning Theory

In this course, we were assigned to develop a specific emplacement in Alberta. We learned about zoning bylaws and theories, we furthered our abilities to do thorough site analysis and we did many sketches to explore all possible configurations and designs.

Building Construction I

In this course, we learned about the essential aspect of building construction learning along the way how to draw specific details.

Building Technology - Lighting

In the this course, we learned the basic of lighting design, how to draw plans and how to select the proper source of light for specific tasks/room.

Digital Drafting - II

In this course we explored and practiced new digital drawing skills on AutoCAD and Photoshop. We learn how to do our first schedule within the title block and how to use Photoshop to apply finishes on our drawings.

Digital Modelling & Rendering I

In this course, we learn how to use Sketch UP. We were then assigned to design a home of our likes to showcase our new abilities.

Design Studio II - Multi-Dwelling

In this course, we were introduced to Multi-Residential Dwelling.

Design Studio III - Commercial I

In this course, we learn to translate our skills to apply them on commercial project.

Design Studio IV - Commercial II

In this course, we have developed greater strategy to design a Commercial Building. We were also introduced to mixed-purposed building. For instance, this project offers a grocery store and residential apartments within the same complex.

The Harbour Office - Thesis B

This is cumulative project between two course. Construction documentation and Commercial Design.

Observatory Project - Thesis A

This project was for the most part a reiteration and reinforcement of all our culmulated lessons and learnings we have amassed during the entire program.
