The Nordic Villa

The Nordic Villa is a renovation project on the main residence of a suburban single family dwelling in Castlegar BC.

The Reverse Cornice

Mountain town two bedroom residence that embodies the spirit of skiing the slopes. Inspired by the mountain top snow cornices of the West Kootenays.

Kootenay Futures

The inspiration of this multi-use design was to mold a mountain into the urban downtown landscape of Castlegar, BC. The building creates an iconic vision at the convergence of two major arteries as participants enter the downtown core.

Envisioned as a downtown focal point in the BC interior city of Castlegar, the Crux is designed to bring vibrancy back to the aging core. It will be a distinct modern building that will attract residences and feature a commercial level with micro-brewery, cafe and bouldering gym. Envisioned as a downtown focal point in the BC interior city of Castlegar, the Crux is designed to bring vibrancy back to the aging core. It will be a distinct modern building that will attract residences and feature a commercial level with micro-brewery, cafe and bouldering gym. The remainder of the building will address the lack of affordable housing with two lev...

Envisioned as a downtown focal point in the BC interior city of Castlegar, the Crux is designed to bring vibrancy back to the aging core. It will be a distinct modern building that will attract residences and feature a commercial level with micro-brewery, cafe and bouldering gym. The remainder of the building will address the lack of affordable housing with two levels of resident leases attached to a rooftop patio and garden. Opportunities for a pedestrian corridor will extend from the south-east of the building to Castlegar's main street Columbia Ave. and encourage participants to walk around the downtown hub.
