Considering this young couples occupations and shared hobbies they are looking to build a home that is centered around ecodesign. They are in need of a space not only suitable for them and their outdoor lifestyle, but also suitable for their two large breed dogs, requiring more yard space. With the use of naturally sourced materials and sustainable energy efficient selections, we can create a space that optimizes physical and psychological health while creating minimal impact on the environment. We are building a connection between the occupants and their environment, in return, creating Blake and Ryan’s dream home.

Whether you are in the mood to sample local delicacies, stroll through an idyllic town, or relax in the hot springs, the Mountain Valley Hotel is the perfect place to stay on your getaway. A portion of every booking will be donated to One Tree Planted organization so together we can contribute to the restoration of our environment. We want our guests to not only enjoy this unique Rocky Mountain environment but also have the opportunity to personally contribute to its growth.

For this design we have partnered with local artists and have them create pieces for display in our store. This will add to the shopping experience and cater to a wide range of demographics who believe in community and collaboration. We will also be focusing on Lighting, this is more than just a way to illuminate your boutique it’s a key component in setting the mood and creating an inviting atmosphere. By choosing the right lighting for this space we will be highlighting this boutiques specific branding and creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers. An example of this would be in the chosen LED signage at checkout to really draw the customer’s point of focus creating a memorable impression. Also creating a open concept layout to help guide customers through the space, encouraging exploration, and minimize any feelings of congestion or confusion. optimizing both function and flow.

The design concept for this custom built home is to embrace a feeling of relaxation within the space for the client by creating a aesthetically pleasing and serene retreat. Achieving this by incorporating natural textures, light and airy color palettes, and nautical-inspired accents to evoke a sense of tranquility and oceanside bliss. This specific design also focuses on the stimulation of the senses and creating an immersive experience. Incorporating elements such as soft lighting, acoustics, aromatic scents, and tactile materials to engage all senses and promote relaxation and well being.

For those of you who are meeting me for the first time, My name is Madison, a Junior Freelance Interior Designer based in Calgary, Alberta Canada. I have created my own personal Interior Design brand called MS Designs, recognized by its commitment and passion for creating elevated, eco friendly and inspiring spaces. I would define my design style or brand as soulful contemporary, combining my love of nature with modern day life. However, I am also inspired by different rustic and antique elements. When designing, no matter the type of space, I believe we have a responsibility to integrate sustainability solutions into our practice. MS Designs strives to create a bridge between the client and nature through purposeful materials, finishes and furniture selections. During a project I want to know what inspires my client and makes them feel good, My goal of every project is, building functionality and sustainability into an environment that is designed to uplift you physically, mentally, and emotionally.
