The Visual College of Art and Design (VCAD) is excited to announce its pathway partnership with British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). VCAD graduates looking to build on their education will now have the opportunity to transition seamlessly into the BCIT School of Business and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program.

Students who complete select programs at VCAD including 3D Modeling Animation Art & Design; Game Development & Design; Graphic Design; Interior Design; and Interior Design with Co-op will be eligible to enroll in the Advanced Diploma in Business Management program at BCIT.

“BCIT is pleased to recognize the skills that successful VCAD students will carry with them into the BCIT applied learning environment,” said Kevin Wainwright, Associate Dean, BCIT School of Business. “Students will focus on honing their creativity and artistic talents while developing strong business acumen for success in the workplace.”

The pathway will be especially beneficial for international students who will be eligible to apply for a post-graduate work permit after completion of their BCIT Advanced Diploma in Business Management. This new pathway will provide a well-rounded academic path that includes hands-on art & design education through VCAD, and a practical business education from BCIT.

“VCAD is excited to partner with BCIT to offer our students a new opportunity to further their education and build on their skillset with business training,” says Andre Souza, VP of Operations at VCAD. “We know that this valuable pathway will prepare students to pursue their creative careers with solid business acumen.”

VCAD is now accepting applications for all programs. For more information, fill in the Request Info form
