On behalf of CEO and Chairman Peter Chung, Executive VP of Operations Andre Souza, and VP of International Relations, Yul Kim, The Visual College of Art and Design (VCAD) joins in solidarity with students, staff, faculty, and all global citizens fighting for justice, and an end to racism in all forms against Indigenous, Black, Asian and all BIPOC.

Dr. Chung, Mr. Souza, and Mr. Kim all immigrated to Canada with the belief that Canada is a nation with opportunities for people from all backgrounds to enjoy. However, as Canadians, we are not immune to racism. We have a responsibility to educate, listen, and learn from our mistakes and take action to support inclusion for all. That is why our leaders and the VCAD community is so passionate about changing lives through education.

It is our commitment to you that VCAD will always look for ways to improve and make not only our campuses, but the community, country, and world at large, a better place. We are steadfast in ensuring that our college is a welcoming and safe space for all people, and have a zero tolerance policy for any forms of racism.

For students, faculty, and staff who are experiencing grief, trauma and/or stress from racism and violence, please connect with your campus for all resources available including counselling and other support.
