Vancouver, BC - July, 6, 2010 - Studio B Productions is a leader in the kids' animation industry, producing award-winning shows such as Kid vs Kat, Being Ian, Amazing Adrenalini Brothers and other popular programs that air on networks like YTV, Teletoon, Nickelodeon and Disney XD.
Headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Studio B began as a two-man operation back in 1988 by animators Chris Bartleman and Blair Peters. Ten years later, they started development for three original series - What About Mimi?, Yvon of the Yukon and D'Myna Leagues.
Studio B has now grown to a team of over 100 animators, writers and producers who generate some of the coolest animated shows on TV. Some of their productions include:
Being Ian: About a kid with a wild imagination who aspires to become a filmmaker.
Clash of the Titans: Seven teenage descendants of Greek gods whose mission is to save the world.
Kid vs Kat: Centres around a boy's constant battle with his sister's cat that is actually a cybernetic alien.
George of the Jungle: A remake of the 1967 series using Adobe Flash animation.
Ricky Sprocket: Showbiz Boy: The world's biggest child actor who tries not to let his celebrity status go to his head.
Studio B's work has garnered many Leos, Geminis and BAFTA awards. In 2006, Being Ian received the Shaw Rocket Prize for Best Canadian Children's TV Program. Studio B donated the $50,000 award to BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver and the SickKids Foundation in Toronto.
