Visual artists compete for top spot

Vancouver, BC - VCAD is celebrating the start of the New Year with a school-wide sculpture competition.

The competition will be judged by an independent panel and the winner will be awarded a $50.00 prize and will have his or her work proudly displayed in the VCAD hallway gallery.

"Our Sculpture for 3D Modeling and Animation students are really excited to be participating," says Anne Morris, Campus Director at VCAD. "I've already seen some of the concept drawings and the competition is going to be stiff."

The 3D Modeling Animation Art and Design diploma program teaches the techniques used in three dimensional animation art and design. Students learn the game development process, including using storyboards, staging scenes and as well as designing game environments and levels.

VCAD has positioned itself as the city's hub for students of Graphic Design, Interior Design, Fashion Design, Marketing and Merchandising for Fashion, and 3D Modeling Animation Art and Design.
