Inspired by the One Bloor, a landmark mixed-use skyscraper in Toronto by Hariri Pontarini Architects, The Ballerina takes to add a sculptural and artistic element to the city skyline and thus create a rather dramatic contrast from the surrounding chamfered boxy skyscrappers. Located off Spadina Avenue and Front St. W. The site is ideally located within close proximity to transit, retail, and recreational facilities, not to mention its potential visual access to Lake Ontario. The project aims to create a self-contained mixed-use development encompassing highrise towers of residences, and offices integrated with leisure and recreational facilities. The project aims to create a symbolic and iconic building set within a perfectly balanced combination of urban and natural landscape. The project, human-centered, will limit vehicular surface travel to the lower levels thus creating a larger avenue for urban and natural integration at the surface level.

The Office and Retail experience are ever-changing. Over the years, the office experience has evolved to focus on more open spaces that spur social collaboration, openness, and creativity. The retail design is now more experience focused in order to compete with the increasing preference for online shopping. Located in Downtown Calgary, the project aims to create a sustainable commercial hub of office and retail activities, integrated with leisure and recreational facilities, that are responsive to the contemporary and emerging commercial trends. The project aims to also create an iconic building set within a perfectly balanced combination of an urban and natural landscape that further blurs the boundary between the existing traditional architecture of the area and the emerging contemporary architecture.

Calgary is one of the fastest-growing cities in Canada. This rapid increase in its population growth is owed mainly to immigration thus creating a largely diverse social and cultural community. Calgary is currently home to more than 240 different ethnic origins and is ranked third in proportion of visible minorities in Canada. Like much of Calgary, Eau Claire neighborhood is home to different ethnic origins. The project aims to create an avenue for the juxtaposition of Calgary's diverse ethnicities and cultures, thereby building up the cities identity to reflect a community where its residents can have a greater sense of belonging and further blur the social and cultural barriers of its diverse population. This would be achieved by creating an avenue in the Eau Claire neighborhood that showcases some social and cultural elements from the diverse population at large and further through enhanced social interactions, educate its residents, and further blur the existing social and cultural barriers of the community.
