Multi-purpose high rise located between Burrard St and Hornby St on the corner of Drake St in downtown, BC. The client was a development firm that had a list of requirement that the building needed to embody and most importantly it needed to be an iconic structure. To create the design I looked for different inspirations for both form and the facade. To promote the community feel, there will be exercise, recreational and meeting rooms, The commercial side will have cafes, grocery stores, pharmacies and child and pet dat care and office spaces for rent. all of it can be easily accessed by public from the street and by residents by interconnected hallways and elevator systems.

Several Advantages of circular design are: - Round houses uses 15-20% less material as it has less wall length - it has less surface area relative to the floor space when compared to rectangular buildings which means that it takes less energy to heat/cool -It is more aerodynamic and admits fewer drafts. It makes it more wind and earthquake resistant -Cheaper to build and maintain -Offer better acoustic and natural climate control - Maximizes DAR light and solar energy The following building only takes up 500 sqft and can be build in 2 and 3 storey configuration. Ideal for environmentally conscious minimalists.

Interior Renovation for a Bungalow House. Client bought the building as an investment property and was interested in maximizing their profit by making it a rental property for 2 separate tenants. Basement was converted to separate unit with an addition of the kitchen. On the main level one of the bedrooms was demolitioned and converted to home office which also allowed to expend the other bedroom. Bathrooms were renovated as well.
