VCAD to Launch New Web Design Program
Vancouver, BC - August 28, 2009 - Visual College of Art and Design (VCAD) is proud to announce the addition of a new Web Design program to the fall curriculum, with the first class of students starting in October 2009.
The new Web Design program is designed for students wishing to pursue a career in web design, development and sever side technologies. The program provides the practical and technical skills necessary to be successful in the field of web design.
"VCAD maintains close ties with the web design industry to continually assess our curriculum and gain insight to ensure our graduates will meet the needs of the industry," says Bohdan Bilan, VCAD VP of Academics. "We know that employers want graduates that are knowledgeable about their field and possess fresh, current skills."
Students in the Web Design program will explore software like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, while working on the latest Mac Pro computers. Each Apple computer system runs two quad-core Intel processors, 12GB of RAM, 3GB video card and 640GB hard drive, which creates a high-tech learning environment for all students.
VCAD, which also offers art and design programs in fashion design, fashion merchandising, interior design, 3D animation and graphic design, delivers fast-paced diploma programs for students looking to enter the creative job market. Instructors for all programs at VCAD are experts in their field, and thanks to small class sizes, have the time to work one-on-one with their students.
