Vancouver, BC - March 16, 2010 - Hold on to your hats - Vancouver Fashion Week (VFW) is fast approaching from April 7 - 11, 2010. Recognized as one of Canada's premier fashion events, VFW is still going strong since its debut in 2000. As fashion marketing or fashion design students, VFW is a great opportunity to check out what Canadian fashion designers are showcasing for the next season.
Not only are designers present at VFW, but also many influential fashion editors, buyers, marketing and public relations executives - there might even be a few celebrities there. Take this chance to network with professionals in the industry and you just never know who you might meet.
Over a dozen designers are scheduled to send models down the runway, including featured Vancouver based lines Lav & Kush, Hawks Ave., and Red Jade. Eco-friendly fashion is mixed with emerging talent, evening and contemporary ready-to-wear and international design. Take some time to attend the shows and special events during Vancouver Fashion Week and see firsthand how new and established designers are leaving their mark in the industry.
