Gain a quick interior design education at a trade show like the Vancouver Home and Interior Design Show

Vancouver, BC - September 7, 2010 - From September 9-12, 2010 Vancouver's Convention Center will host the Home and Interior Design Show. From the newest trends to renovation tips, this show is a must see for any up-and-coming interior designer.

Interior Design Ideas

HGTV, Benjamin Moore, and Urban Barn will sponsor (among others) the event to attract over 320 exhibitors showcasing new and innovative products and ideas. As well as offering detailed descriptions of their products, many suppliers also provide descriptive brochures and samples to add to your collection. These exhibitors are the perfect resource for interior design ideas for projects big and small.

Interior Design Tips

Another benefit to attending interior design trade shows is being a guest at presentations by prominent designers and industry professionals. At Vancouver's Home and Interior Design Show, HGTV will present the "Urban Barn Design Stage", where top design experts will share their experiences and interior design tips. Bryan Baeumler, the host of HGTV's Disaster DIY will offer insight on which home renovations are the most profitable while Janette Ewen, Interior Stylist and co-host of Ty Pennington's Inside the Box will provide décor demos and trend forecasts for colour schemes, furniture and accessories for the upcoming seasons.

Presentations at the Home and Interior Design Show

For those looking to learn more about electronics in the home, Future Shop and Glen Peloso collaborated on "The Connect Home". This interactive display of a cross sectioned living room, laundry room, bedroom and garage will provide a firsthand look at how to incorporate the newest technology in home electronics.

Other notable exhibits include The Green Room and Arcon's "Urban Backyard". For the "Green Room" BC Hydro will display four room settings and focus on the myths of energy conservation in residential interior design lighting, appliances and electronics.

"Urban Backyard" will replicate a typical 20' x 30' Vancouver backyard to show solutions for working within a limited outdoor space. Simple and affordable materials are used to create a functional and relaxing space in realistic proportions.

Interior Design Vancouver

Another sponsor of the Vancouver interior design show is the Home Renovation Guide. This handy reference guide provides product recommendations for kitchens and bathrooms, windows and doors, flooring and carpets, home security, organization, lighting, painting, heating and cooling, roofing and siding, plumbing, landscaping, as well as general contractors across Canada and the United States.

Interior designers must keep up to date not only with trends, but products and techniques as well. By attending trade shows like Vancouver's Home and Interior Design Show, you will be exposed to top designers and contractors and expand your education to better yourself and future clients.
