Stay on top of constantly evolving interior design industry with interior decorarting courses at VCAD
Vancouver, BC - April 1, 2010 - On March 5-7, 2010 the 67th National Home Builder's Association Conference was held in Victoria, BC. Interior design professionals within the home building sector were invited to discuss their expertise on the theme "The Future is Home" and how the real estate market is changing.
In one notable presentation "Design for Profit by Understanding Your Customers' Needs", prominent City Line interior designers Ramsin Khachi and Karen Sealy explained the importance on connecting with each client and designing for individual situations. Karen and Ramsin explained that by building a personal rapport with clients, interior designers and builders can solidify a reputation that stays in high demand in this challenging marketplace.
As the first female interior designer to be invited to speak at the conference, Karen introduced the importance of women's influence on the home buying decision. By understanding what women want, Karen explained that home builders can set themselves apart in the industry and appeal to the female audience. Some examples can include defining living areas by their specific tasks. Spa like bathrooms, larger kitchens with sitting areas and separate office areas are interior design techniques that can help organize the home and reduce stress on the primary caretaker.
By analyzing the needs that are specific to each client's lifestyle and personality, interior designers can uniquely and accurately transform any living space.
