Vancouver, BC - April 5th, 2010 - The Vancouver Convention Center will hosting BUILDEX Vancouver , one of Canada's largest trade shows, on April 21 and 22,. Vancouver's BUILDEX exhibition showcases more than 600 exhibitors specializing in interior design, architecture, property and real estate management and construction and renovation. Exhibitors from all aspects of design include paint, tile and flooring specialists, interior finishes and furniture, window and door suppliers and so much more. With 50 educational seminars, including interior design programs, and 100 inspirational speakers; BUILDEX Vancouver receives over 12 000 designers, real estate and construction visitors each year.
To be successful within the interior design field, students need to get first-hand experience in a interior design program that teaches the latest techniques and tools. It's important to stay up-to-date after graduation, too. Within the interior design community, suppliers and manufactures use trade shows to introduce new trends and technologies in products, materials, and green design/build standards to design professionals. As these trade shows are not open to the public, it is the responsibility of designers to educate themselves to stay competitive against peers and provide current knowledge to clients.
Trade shows are also a great place to network, as well. With hundreds of exhibitors, both students and practicing designers should take advantage of the opportunity to establish beneficial contacts and market themselves to potential employers.
